NEW MUSIC ROUNDUP: Social Distortion, War On Women, Enter Shikari

Social Distortion- “Born To Kill”

It’s been 15 years since the last Social Distortion record , and “Born to Kill” is a welcome return of the Orange County icons. A little more subdued , but “Born to Kill” still has that signature Social D angst and rock ‘n roll sound .

War On Women-"Time Under Tension”

In a world where Turnstile and Scowl get mainstream shine, there’s no reason War On Women shouldn’t be next in line. The band’s new album is proof of that statement , as the band’s most melodic and overall best release yet is an impressive progression that differs from its previous riot girl hard core punk past work.

Enter Shikari-"Lose Your Self”

One of the most progressive acts out there continues to blend electronic music with hard core and alternative in a way no other band has mastered. The band surprise dropped the album with the intention of the listener listening to the album as a full experience. The experience is the soundtrack to a “Black Mirror” episode complete with bleak commentary on where society is headed.
