The Nexus, a fan-made animated production YouTube channel, has produced various shorts that show how Batman uses his detective work, scientific application of physics, energy and frequencies, and reliance on outside-the-box supernatural methods to defeat popular horror franchise characters.
“The Contingency Plan” episodes feature an analytical, calculating and innovative Batman using all his resources, knowledge and experiences from detective work to the paranormal world , as a a weaponized- solution to unkillable entities like Michael Myers from “Halloween,” Jason Voorhees from “Friday the 13th,” Freddy Krueger from “A Nightmare On Elm Street”, and others. The makers of these short films have a deep understanding of the lore associated with the horror icons, as well as a core understanding of the methodology of the Dark Knight.
In the episode where Batman takes on Krueger , after puling him from the nightmare realm into reality and imprisoning him. To further stop Krueger, Batman creates a marketing campaign that re-imagines the monster into a funny, likeable “meme,” which dilutes the fear that fuels him, similar to how he was forgotten in the “Freddy vs. Jason” film. When Batman confronts Michael Myers, he destroys the construct and psyche that controls the evil around him and trapping him in quantum containment.
