REVIEW: Driveways deliver a Halloween-season show worth the wait

HOUSTON- Making its Texas debut and opening for popular screamo/ country core act Bilmuri, Driveways didn’t disappoint.

The Boston-suburb trio of Pat Finnegan, Derek Serino, and Ryan Passariello play a blend of pop-punk that mixes in hard core elements and song themes range from loss, horror movies and everything fall themed, which makes for the perfect listen and concert in October. Opening with two songs off the “Epilogues II” EP, “ Resurrect” and “Skull and Flowers,” Driveways conjured high energy from the start. “Are You Afraid Of The Dark?,” and set closer “October Forever” were also set highlights.

As a smaller band that continues to grow with high-profile festival slots, Driveways are a band that deserve to be bigger.
